Showcase: Using Telconi Terminal
To remove the secondary IP address, we first select the router
from the device list and connect by pushing the OK button
(assuming the device has been previously configured. Telconi Terminal
will remember all connection settings after the first successful login):
Now, the Telconi Terminal automatically creates up to 3 sessions,
enters the enable mode in each and displays the configuration of the
router in a pretty-printed manner. Now, we simply move the mouse over
our configuration line and select the negate option:
Telconi Terminal now enters automatically the appropiate interface
configuration mode and displays the final command:
Now, we press RETURN.
The router accepted the configuration line. The changes appear on the
screen marked as follows:
In a final step, we press the commit button. Now, Telconi Terminal will save the changes to NVRAM, reload the configuration and redisplay everything. Our interface definition reflects the changed configuration:
Almost the same procedure, but we did not have to type a single command. We clicked the mouse twice and hit the return key once and maybe we used the scrollbar
to scroll the view a bit.
